- ROHIT RANJAN AGARWAL
Holding
The contempt application is dismissed as the order of the writ Court has been complied with.
Summary
The High Court had earlier, on 13 September 2021, directed the opposite party to complete proceedings under Section 24 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006, in Writ‑C No. 22240 of 2021. The opposite party filed a compliance affidavit on 12 March 2024 stating that the required proceedings were concluded on 7 February 2024, attaching the relevant document. The applicant then filed a contempt application alleging non‑compliance. The Court examined the affidavit and the annexure, found that the order had indeed been complied with, and therefore held that the contempt application was no longer viable. Consequently, the contempt notice was discharged and the application dismissed. The decision was pronounced on 5 May 2026.
