SUPRIYA PATEL AND 3 OTHERSversusRAJ KUMAR PANDIT, DISTT. INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS, JALAUN AND OTHERS

Decided
Disposal
DISMISSED AS WITHDRAWN

Holding

The court held that the respondent had complied with the writ order, rendering the contempt application ineffective.

Summary

The applicants filed a contempt application alleging that the District Inspector of Schools, Jalaun, had failed to comply with a court order dated 29 May 2019 issued in Writ Petition No.15686 of 2019 (Ashok Kumar Pandey & 12 others v. State of U.P. and others). The respondent filed an affidavit stating that the required decision was taken on 27 July 2019 and that the applicants' representation was decided on 11 July 2025, attaching copies of those orders. The High Court examined the affidavit and the earlier writ order and concluded that the respondent had indeed complied with the directions. Consequently, the court held that the contempt application had lost its basis. The contempt application was therefore dismissed.
