Allahabad High Court

JALBHARATversusRAMANUJ SHUKLA,S.D.O.

Decided

Holding

The contempt application was dismissed as infructuous because the respondent had complied with the writ order.

Summary

The High Court had earlier directed the opposite party, a Sub-Divisional Officer, to complete proceedings under Section 24 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006. The opposite party filed a compliance affidavit on 19 February 2024 stating that the proceedings were concluded on 21 June 2024, attaching the relevant order. The applicant then filed a contempt application alleging non‑compliance. Upon reviewing the compliance affidavit, the Court found that the original writ order had been fully complied with. Consequently, the contempt application was deemed infructuous and was dismissed, with the contempt notice discharged.

                                    Court No. - 9
                                                     HON'BLE ROHIT RANJAN AGARWAL, J.

present contempt application is rendered infructuous and stands dismissed.
