Allahabad High Court

SATSANG KUMAR AND 178 OTHERSversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 16 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn upon the petitioner's request.

Summary

The petitioners filed a criminal miscellaneous writ petition in the Allahabad High Court. After investigation, a charge-sheet was filed in the trial court, rendering the petition apparently infructuous. The petitioners, through their counsel, requested that the petition be dismissed as withdrawn, stating they no longer wished to pursue it. The Court considered the request and, finding no objection, accepted the prayer to withdraw the petition. Consequently, the Court ordered the petition to be dismissed as withdrawn and directed the Registrar to inform the relevant police and enforcement authorities of the order.
