Allahabad High Court
SUNIL PALversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 9 OTHERS
- Decided
Holding
The writ petition is not maintainable as the dispute is private, and the High Court dismissed it.
Summary
The petitioner, Sunil Pal, filed a writ petition under Article 226 seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to decide his representation dated 12-03-2026, which was pending before them. The petition alleged that the respondents had failed to act on his representation. The Court observed that the matter was essentially a private dispute between the petitioner and private respondents numbered 7 to 10, and therefore not within the writ jurisdiction of the High Court. Consequently, the Court held that it could not issue any direction against the private respondents. The petition was dismissed, with liberty granted to the petitioner to pursue any appropriate remedy available under law.
