Allahabad High Court

SABIR ALIversusSTATE OF U.P. AND ANOTHER

Decided

Holding

The writ petition is dismissed as the disputed facts cannot be verified in the petition.

Summary

Sabir Ali filed a writ petition before the Allahabad High Court challenging actions of the State of U.P. and another respondent. The petition raised factual disputes that the court found could not be verified on the pleadings. The judges held that because the essential facts were in dispute, the petition could not be entertained for relief. Consequently, the writ petition was dismissed. The court, however, advised the petitioner that he may approach a competent court or forum for further relief.
