SANDEEP KUMAR GUPTA AND ANOTHERversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The petitioners have no locus standi to object to the enquiry report, and the writ petition is dismissed.

Summary

The petitioners, Sandeep Kumar Gupta and another, filed a writ petition challenging an enquiry report submitted by the District Magistrate, Gorakhpur, which investigated eleven allegations against them and found none established. The petitioners sought to object to the report, arguing that it was erroneous. The High Court examined the enquiry report and the accompanying covering memo dated 22.08.2026. Finding that the enquiry had been properly conducted and that the allegations were not substantiated, the Court held that the petitioners had no locus standi to contest the report.
