The court directed the Sub‑Divisional Officer to decide the pending proceeding within three months and disposed of the petition.
Summary
The petitioner, Mahilal, filed a writ petition seeking a court order directing the Sub‑Divisional Officer, Tehsil Dadri, to conclude demarcation proceedings and decide case No. 15293 of 2025 filed under Section 24 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006. The petitioner argued that the proceeding had been pending since April 2025 and required expeditious disposal. The court, after hearing counsel for both sides, declined to opine on the merits of the underlying revenue matter. Instead, it ordered the respondent to decide the pending proceeding within three months of the certified copy of the order, without unnecessary adjournments. The petition was therefore disposed of finally with the direction for speedy disposal.
