Holding
The Court directed the respondent to decide the pending revision expeditiously within six months, thereby granting the relief sought.
Summary
Petitioner Hari Shankar Mishra filed a writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the Additional Commissioner (Judicial‑1st) Varanasi to decide Revision No. 2330 of 2025 (Computer Case C‑202514000002330) under Section 219 of the Uttar Pradesh Land Revenue Act read with Section 210 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006, which had been pending since 27‑06‑2025. The petitioner relied on paragraph 458 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Court Manual, which mandates disposal of appeals or revisions within six months. The respondents argued that keeping the writ pending would serve no useful purpose and requested only a direction for expeditious disposal. The Court, on consent, disposed of the writ by directing the respondent to decide the revision within six months of the order, provided no legal impediment exists. The order was signed by Justice Satya Veer Singh.
