The writ petition was dismissed as not pressed, with liberty granted to the petitioners to file a fresh petition.
Summary
The petitioners filed a writ petition before the Allahabad High Court. During proceedings, counsel for the petitioners identified procedural defects in the petition. They requested that the petition be dismissed as not pressed, while also seeking liberty to file a fresh petition. The standing counsel for the respondents did not oppose the dismissal. The Court, after noting the lack of a pressed petition, dismissed the writ petition and granted the petitioners permission to file a fresh petition. No substantive merits of the underlying dispute were addressed.
