Holding
The Court directed Respondent No.2 to decide the pending case within six months, thereby granting the mandamus.
Summary
Petitioner Deep Narayan filed a writ petition seeking a mandamus directing Respondent No.2 to decide Case No. 9253 of 2026 (Deep Narayan v. Gram Sabha) pending under Section 24 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006, within a fixed time. The petition solely requested expeditious disposal of the said case. The Standing Counsel for the State raised no objection to the prayer. The Court, after hearing counsel, found no impediment to granting the relief and ordered the respondent to decide the case within six months of the certified copy of the order. The petition was therefore disposed with the specified direction.
