Allahabad High Court

MRS ABHA CHAUDHARYversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 2 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The Court ordered that the application dated 11‑05‑2026 be decided expeditiously, preferably within three months, and disposed of the writ petition without granting mandamus.

Summary

Mrs. Abha Chaudhary filed a writ petition seeking a mandamus directing the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority to decide her application dated 11‑05‑2026 and to register a sale deed for a plot in NRI City. The petitioner relied on a Supreme Court decision (Civil Appeal No.11052 of 2025) to argue that the authority must act within a stipulated period. The High Court observed that keeping the writ petition pending would serve no useful purpose and, with the parties’ consent, disposed of the petition without addressing the merits. The Court directed that the application be decided expeditiously, preferably within three months of the order. No further relief was granted.
